Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 6 Walkthrough

Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 6

Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 6 ramps up the intensity by immersing players into boss fights and getting into the home of Sun Wukong, Mount Huaguo.

As well as leading to the game’s true ending, this chapter sees a rematch with Erlang Shen, a powerful character from Celestial Court. Mount Huaguo is an open world area, and while those are plentiful to engage in battles with, there isn’t much else to do.

The chapter is divided into distinct areas:

  1. Foothills
  2. Water Curtain Cave
  3. Mount Mei (optional)
  4. Birthstone

It’s necessary to visit Mount Mei, from Chapter 3, in order to unlock the true ending. Chapter 6 begins you heading up Mount Huaguo with your companion Zhu Bajie where you encounter Celestial Court’s minions.

First boss is the Supreme Inspector, he has wings and wheels that cast damage now. Defeat him and you get the Somersault Cloud, which allows you free access to Mount Huaguo.

While Mount Huaguo seems an empty wasteland, the open world is actually the perfect place to fight bosses and reward players with Sun Wukong’s armor pieces. You don’t have to fight the bosses in order, and defeating them is necessary to get through the game.

1. Foothills Walkthrough

Jiao-Loong of Waves is your first boss, this is a water dragon and his attacks are tail strikes. Then you’ll encounter Son of Stones, a large rock creature with big hits. In order to win you’ll have to dodge his lightning attacks and use quick moves and aggression.

As the Poison Chief bosses are located across Mount Huaguo, Poison Bomb deals heavy damages. Try to reduce damage from poison and watch how they are positioned.

One of the tougher opponents is Lang-Baw-Baw, a frog boss with stone skin and the power to deflect attacks. Upgrading the Baw-Li-Guhh-Lang Spirit to a Mythical Spirit is available after defeating him.

After these fights, head to Deer Sight Forest, where you fight the Cloudtreading Deer. In the first phase of the battle, the deer attacks with ice attacks, and in the second phase, it assumes skeletal form, and poisons. Defeat them to earn the Lotus Silk Cloudtreaders which are part of Sun Wukong’s armor.

Next, at Rhino Watch Slope you’ll take on the Gold Armored Rhino, whose armor breaks with heavy attacks. When your defenses are lowered you will receive Wukong’s Gold Suozi Armor.

The Feng-Tail General is an unconventional boss to the Mantis Catching Swamp. Rather than have any form of a fight, you hold its antennae, and must make a skill and stamina check as it jumps through the scapes. This will get you the Golden Feng-Tail Crown when you finish.

2. Water Curtain Cave

Head to the Water Curtain Cave and progress through a waterfall path until you get to the Jingubang, Wukong’s staff. Once you’re equipped, continue on your way, getting the job done by fighting Celestial Court enemies alongside Zhu Bajie.

3. Mount Mei (Optional Walkthrough)

Erlang Shen is the toughest boss in the game and the fight takes place in Mount Mei. This battle has three phases wherein Erlang must consistently deplete your poise meter in order for you to stagger him.

The Plantain Fan is good for quickly lowering his poise and having a decent Qi replenishment strategy is often the only way to survive the fight.

After Erlang is beaten, you will go at it with a kaiju style battle with the Four Heavenly Kings and Erlang Shen’s lion form. Players get the Stone Monkey Transformation, along with Erlang’s Tri Point Double Edged Spear, which yields access to the game true ending, in return.

4. Birthstone Walkthrough

The final boss at the Birthstone is The Stone Monkey. In this two-phase fight of dodging shockwaves and the rings of fire. In the second part of the Stone Monkey, it splinters into two and you have to concentrate on taking on one at a time.

When you defeat the Stone Monkey, you’ll get to battle the Great Sage’s Broken Shell, a tough boss based on Wukong’s powers. Heavy attacks and Wukong’s armor will do the job, but you’ll need to try the process out a few times to get him.

Conclusion

Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 6 is a very intense, and boss heavy segment which pushes players to gauge their combat skills and strategic thinking. Mount Huaguo, it might be empty but where the real focus is lying is of course hunting down the bosses to unlock Wukong’s armor and staff.

The hardest fights involve fighting Erlang Shen and the Stone Monkey, which all lead to a true ending that rewards you for gaming and then concludes the journey of Sun Wukong on a high note. If you want a bit more, the game throws in a New Game+ mode to revisit these fights, with better abilities and gear.
