In ‘Chapter 1: The Ré marsuois’ of Black Myth Wukong, there are definitely three bells that must be rung to open a secret area, which is a place to a dangerous boss.
This boss is beaten to give the players a Vessel which shields them from burn damage and that makes this side quest interesting. When trying to get to the three bell locations you may need these tips which will allow you to locate the bells.
Bell Location 1
The first bell is included in the arena of the Guangzhi boss. Begin by starting from the “Outside the Forest Keeper’s Shrine” which is in the ‘’Forest of Wolves’’ in Chapter 1.
Go ahead of it across a small wooden plank and if you want to avoid the Wandering Wight you can always turn right. Keep on walking along the path that has flames on both sides and when you get to the gate which leads to the boss area for the Guangzhi, get in.
To open the bell, the player must successfully defeat a boss named Guangzhi armed with a flame-attributed double-bladed spear. Guangzhi’s combos make him vulnerable to burn damage, therefore, learn the right time to stage an attack after he unleashes his combos.
The first bell is obtained by defeating him. You will discover the first one in a small shrine building behind Guangzhi. Just use it to make the bell ring.
Bell Location 2
The second bell is located at the Guangmou boss place, near the Snake Trail Shrine in the region of the Bamboo Grove. Begin at the Shrine- after going up, the wooden bridge and proceed with the path that goes downhill.
Which leads you to the second one, go left under the bridge that you crossed and to the right until you are in the bamboo grove path. There are impressive statues and a candle on the left side, find a small gap in the rock, through which you have to crawl.
Through this passage one can find the Guangmou boss. To get to the bell laid on the opposite side of the ring, you must beat him. Guangmou’s poison attacks should be avoided and therefore one should always equip himself with counterpoisons to neutralize Guangmou’s toxin effects.
Bell Location 3
The third bell is near the Marsh of White Mist Shrine, also within the Bamboo Forest region of Chapter 1. This bell is found along the path leading away from the Guangmou boss arena.
From the shrine, head downwards past the old monkey’s store and walk into the shallow pond. If you haven’t already, you will need to defeat the Whiteclad Noble boss here, who has two battle phases.
Once victorious, follow the path through the rocks on the left until you reach the end, where the third bell awaits. Beware of wolf soldiers guarding the area as you approach the bell.
Conclusion: Complete the Three Bells Quest
After ringing all the three bells, you will be transported to the Ancient Guanyin Temple. Before heading into the boss fight, unlock the Grand Chamber Keeper’s Shrine and collect any loot you find. Behind the closed door, you will encounter the Elder Jinchi.
The Elder Jinchi fight isn’t extremely difficult, but be wary of the orange spirit-like minions that explode upon getting close to you. When Jinchi ascends, focus on defeating the spirit minions that try to heal him. Surviving these waves is crucial to preventing Elder Jinchi from regaining health.
Once you defeat the Elder Jinchi, you’ll be returned to the location of the third bell. Here, you can examine a corpse hanging from a nearby tree, which completes the three bells side quest.
Your reward for finishing this quest is the Fireproof Mantle Vessel, which protects you from burn damage and allows you to traverse lava.
