In Chapter 1 of Black Myth: Wukong, known as “Black Cloud, Red Fire,” is a match style that lets players fight against 11 bosses such as Yaoguai Chiefs and Yaoguai Kings. Chiefs can be considered as minor bosses and Kings are more difficult and, in fact, are parts of the plot.
Here you will get to know, how to get to all Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 1 bosses including hidden bosses such as Elder Jinchi and Red Loong.
Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 1 Bosses
1. Bullguard
The first boss is called Bullguard and he is the Yaoguai Chief, found in the region called Forest of Wolves. To start, go to the “Front Hills” Keeper’s Shrine, cross the bridge with the path up to the gate with Bullguard as standing guard.
It is slow moving, polearm wielding boss which is intended to teach players how to dodge. He is defeated while the Immobilize Spell becomes available and this makes this fight much easier.
2. Wandering Wight
The Wandering Wight is not found in the Journal and can be located near the “Outside the Forest” Shrine right past Bullguard. Unlike most bosses in the game, this is a tough one only in the start and therefore, is advised to be defeated when the main character has more powers.
However, if you defeat the Elder Jinchi first then the Wandering Wight will disappear so it is better to confront with it before confronting Jinchi.
3. Guangzhi
Guangzhi which is another Yaoguai Chief is situated on the opposite side of the Wandering Wight. To reach there, from Shrine turn left and cross the bridge and you will find Guangzhi there in a clearing.
His attacks come in the form of a flaming double-edged sword and he has fast combinations thus making him quite a tough nut to crack.
Eliminate him using Immobilize spell and a forceful approach to boot that will unlock the Red Tides Spell which enables one to transform into Guangzhi for some time.
4. Lingxuzi
The first Yaoguai King is Lingxuzi, a giant wolf, that resides in the Guanyin Temple. The way to him is quite obvious, and despite the words of the Keeper about this hard difficulty level, Lingxuzi’s actions are quite predictable.
Two major ways to defeat Lingxuzi will be to continuously practice two main skills which are: Harrier and High Kick and most importantly the usage of spells such as Immobilize and Red Tides.
5. Baw-Li-Guhh-Lang
The Yaoguai Chief Baw-Li-Guhh-Lang which is a giant amphibian lives in the river close to the ‘Snake Trail’ Shrine in the Bamboo Grove area.
Still, he is not overly vicious; his tongue is usually unpredictable and can even become a weapon. Some of his health is depleted and his Spirit extracted to transform into him in further fight scenes.
6. Guangmou
The other Yaoguai Chief in this location is Guangmou which is located along the main path of the Snake Trail. This magic-user strikes from a distance as well as uses poison spores.
Dodging and staff spinning to fake him out not allow him to attack, approach him and take him down, then have his Spirit for a ranged attack the next time you fight him.
7. Whiteclad Noble
The Whiteclad Noble is located at the bottom of “Marsh of White Mist”. This boss has a second phase which is a merman-like creature.
Make use of the Pillar Stance to deal damage safely, and after defeating him, you will receive hints about hidden Bells important for unlocking the Elder Jinchi fight.
8. Black Wind King
The Black Wind King is a powerful opponent found within Black Wind Cave and has long combos in his attacks. His special ability is to convert him into an invulnerable wind, hence making this battle most demanding. Engage his abilities in combat such as the Red Tides Spell and to evade his attacks, use Wandering Wight Spirit.
9. Black Bear Guai
Black Bear Guai is located at the outside area of Black Wind Cave on the Bodhi Peak. The final story boss of Chapter 1 is difficult one and uses fire and wind combination to attack his enemies. It is strategically better to subdue Elder Jinchi for Fireproof Mantle Vessel; this is helpful in this battle significantly.
10. Elder Jinchi (Secret Boss)
If you want to meet Elder Jinchi, three Bells that are placed throughout Chapter 1 must be rung. After all bells are rung you will be taken to the old Guanyin Temple where you will meet the boss Jinchi which is similar to the Wanderer of the Wight but with healing corpses in the fighting arena. There are rewards for defeating him, which is the Fireproof Mantle Vessel.
11. The Red Loong (Secret Boss)
The Red Loong is the ultimate secret boss of Chapter 1, after getting Loong Scale in chapter 2. Go back to chapter 1 and look for the waterfall in the Forest of Wolves and fight these electric fisticuffs using the newly learned techniques to take advantage the Red Loong weak points.
